KPM German blanc de chine memorial tea cup. This piece is a bit of a mystery. What I do know is that the portrait on front is of President Paul Von Hindenburg and the maker's mark indicates this cup was produced between 1945-1962. The mystery is that this cup was produced in orange not white. And while the KPM mark is authentic it is missing the artist signature and any other identifying marks. Does that make this a factory second? a rare prototype? I just don't know but I can't find another one. The lion feet are amazing and completely intact, the peacock style handle has the beginnings of a crack were it meets the lip. Overall great condition. I do not have the saucer but I do have a little note from the family that purchased the cup at auction years ago. Size: 5.25"T x 3.5" diameter at top
